Abstract

The chain has upwardly projecting vertical pins (A, B). Movable carrier elements to one side of the chain have lateral slideways (13) in which two successive pins are received. The slideway, closed at its ends, is larger than the distance between the pins. The endless chain is arranged between two sprockets (2) and runs in guides (5), driven by a motor. When the leading pin reaches the end of the slideway the carrier element is moved, its opposed side (12a) being supported on rollers (17) projecting from a fixed support (18).
