Abstract

The double-walled airtight packing has a stiff outer section for stacking, and a relatively loose inner one accommodating the contents in a gas-filled or evacuated chamber. The inner section is of material fitting against the inside of the outer one under the effect of vacuum deep-drawing, and adhering to the outer one along its edge, an air passage being left past the seam. To the assembly of outer section and inner one, a rigid sheet is sealed, forming an airtight seal for the contents.
