Abstract

Safety binding has a boot retainer in the shape of a flat housing (1), with a holder (4a), and elements which form a flexible system (7), fastened to the boot. The elements are active between housing and holder, and between the housing and a stationary element (2). All units form part of a kinematic chain, so that attempts to move the housing from its normal position, reduce the force, which retains the holder on the boot. Displacement of the holder towards its non-active position causes a reduction in the force, which acts against a turning movement of the housing.
