Abstract
Ce dispositif est destiné à diviser en filaments la masse de verre fondu qui s'est étalée et adhère sous la face inférieure de la plaque à orifices d'une machine à fibres de verre après une rupture ou un arrêt de l'étirage des filaments. Il comprend une pince 17 montée, par un bras 39, sur un chariot 18 qui peut coulisser le long d'une colonne 16. En fonctionnement normal, la pince est située en dehors du trajet des filaments 4. En cas de rupture, les moteurs 19 et 47 placent la pince en position active tandis qu'un contacteur 35 provoque le serrage des mâchoires de la pince. Ensuite, la pince 17 est tirée vers le bas à une vitesse réglée par le moteur 19 tandis qu'on règle en même temps le refroidissement de la plaque à orifices au moyen des buses de projection d'air 11. Ce dispositif permet de mécaniser une opération pénible précédemment exécutée manuellement
