Connecteur destiné à un câble plat, en forme de ruban, à fibres optiques. Il comporte des éléments de retenue des fibres fixés dans un boîtier sensiblement plat et dans lesquels les fibres du câble sont elles-mêmes fixées. Ces éléments de retenue sont destinés à pénétrer dans des éléments d'alignement à l'intérieur desquels ils entrent en butée avec des éléments de retenue analogues provenant d'un connecteur associé. Domaine d'application : transmission par fibres optiques.
