Abstract

The mass in the mechanism travels over the path which has variable radii of curvature. The angular velocity of the mass is inversely proportional to the radius of curvature. The mass maintains an approximate radial position. The drive motor is integral with the mass. In accelerating or decelerating the mass (1) the drive motor may apply a torque equal and opposite to the accelerating or decelerating torque to contain the out of balance forces.
