Abstract
Des esters isopropylphényliques sont transformés en diphénols ou triphénols par une auto-oxydation nouvelle de ces esters à des taux élevés de transformation en esters hydroperoxyisopropylphényliques correspondants en présence d'un catalyseur formé d'au moins deux composants choisis entre I une phtalocyanine métallique; II un peroxyde dialkylique tertiaire et III un hydroperoxyde d'alkyle tertiaire. La transposition des esters hydroperoxyisopropylphényliques en esters hydroxyphényliques correspondants et l'hydrolyse de ces derniers composés donnent les phénols en des rendements totaux (calculés à partir des esters de départ) jusqu'à présent inégalés. Les nouveaux carbonates de bis(hydroperoxyisopropylphényle) sont des composés intermédiaires intéressants à utiliser pour la préparation du carbonate de bisphénol lui-même intermédiaire ou du produit final d'hydrolyse, c'est-à-dire l'hydroquinone.
