Abstract

The armchair contains a compartment, and consists of a sheet of hardboard which is bent and fixed at the ends to a front piece. Its base is fixed to a bottom made of plywood or fibreboard, thereby forming a back rest, arm rests, and the locker compartment. The sheet of hardboard is wetted outside and bends easily after two reinforcements have been placed in the bends (I, J) to give rigidity to the two sides. The front is an inverted trapezoid in shape and has reinforcements as extensions of the two sides on which are fixed the ends of the harboard sheet. A cutout curved piece is fixed inside on which the upholstery is nailed. A movable seat is fitted into the curved piece and has battens as stop pieces.
