Abstract

L'invention décrit un appareil pour brûler les déchets de polymères ayant des caractéristiques choisies de combustion. L'appareil comprend : a. une partie cylindrique de base munie de plusieurs tuyaux pour injecter tangentiellement de l'air, avec un orifice de chargement de la matière résiduaire et un brûleur pour allumer celle-ci; b. un étranglement, en matière céramique, suivi c. d'une chambre de post-combustion, alimentée en air et comportant un brûleur pour allumer les vapeurs. L'atmosphère est réductrice dans la chambre inférieure et il y a un excès d'air de combustion dans la chambre supérieure. Un diffuseur, immergé dans la matière polymère fondue au bas de la chambre de base, introduit de l'air ou de la vapeur d'eau dans cette matière fondue pour briser la couche des cendres. Application : destruction des déchets et récupération de la chaleur produite, par exemple pour engendrer de la vapeur d'eau.
