Abstract

The adjustable pedal block is for fixing to the shoe of a cyclist, having a transverse groove fitting over a pedal cross-bar. The block is secured by front and rear screws under the shoe sole. An elongated hole for the front screw extends from rear to front and is slightly wider than the screw shank. The rear screw hole is appreciably larger than its screw shank diameter, and this screw shank (9) fits in a rocket bar (16) bearing against the rear of the block at both ends, while the screw head bears against the bar centre. Thus the block can be adjusted either by pivoting about the front screw or sliding lengthwise in relation to it.
