Abstract

A pliable, self-curing moulding material is used to make a cast of the root of a personhs ear to form close-fitting pads on th ends of hte arms of a pair of spectacles. The pads may be made from alginate-based or other dental moulding materials or from acrylic or phenol-formaldehyde moulding walls. The pads may be made in sity. after covering the skin with a parting agent, or in a mould derived from a plaster cast of the ear form.
