Abstract

L'invention concerne un élastomère de polyuréthane thermoplastique. Selon l'invention, il se compose du produit de réaction de : a. un poly(oxypropylène)-poly(oxyéthylène) glycol d'un poids moléculaire de 100 à 3000 contenant 25-60 % en poids de groupements oxyéthylène; b. un polyester polyol d'un poids moléculaire de 1 000 à 3 000; c. un polyisocyanate choisi dans le groupe consistant en 2,4-tolylène diisocyanate, méthylénebis (4-phénylisocyanate), 4,4'-diisocyanatolicyclohexylméthane et diisocyanate disophorone ; et d. un extenseur de chaîne de polyol à faible poids moléculaire, le rapport de a à b étant de 10/90 à 90/10 en poids, le rapport molaire de d à a plus b étant de 3 : 1 à 10 : 1 et le rapport d'équivalence NCO/OH étant de 0,95 : 1 à 1,10 : 1, l'élastomère ayant une dureté comprise entre une dureté Shore A de 80 et une dureté Shore D de 55, et un allongement supérieur à 300 %, une résistance à la rupture par traction d'au moins 281 kg/cm**2, et une résistance au déchirement à la matrice C d'au moins 90 kg/cm linéaire. L'invention s'applique notamment à la préparation de pièces pour l'automobile, de revêtements ou d'étoffes enduites.
