Abstract

The pivoting side-hung glazed partition may be used as a shower door. The hinge fittings permit easy adjustment of the axis about which the panel pivots. The position of the lower edge of the partition can, thus, be set to meet a sill e.g. the rim of a bath (3). The lower edge may also include a sprung roller catch and a skirt type water seal. The partition is hung by the corners with the top hanging adjustable. The lower hinge fittings may comprise an angle iron (7, 8) which is fixed to the wall with a hinge-stud (9) engaging a socket in a member framing the foot of the partition. The top fitting (6) may have a winged (18) 'U' bracket (11) fixing to the wall.
