Abstract

The handle, for a battery for e.g. a motor vehicle, has a flexible cord (1) made of plastics or another material not attacked by the electrolyte. The cord has a male cap (2) at one end and a female eyelet (3) at the other and loops between two holes in the opposite projecting edges of the battery. The eyelet has a lateral slit (6) to admit the cord and its hole (4) is sufficiently small to prevent the cap passing through it. The advantage lies in simplicity and speed of assembly.
