Abstract

Domestic heat exchanger tubing is made from extruded plastic material contg. a thermally conductive filler, e.g. 10-70% wt. of carbon black or powdered Al. Pref. the tubing section has radial fins for enhanced surface area, e.g. tube of 8 mm bore, with walls 1 mm thick may support longitudinal ribs about 1 mm high, so that a tube of low density polyethylene contg. 20% wt C black can transfer 50W/m.
