Abstract

L'invention a pour objet un autoclave, en particulier un autoclave fonctionnant alternativement sous pression de vapeur et sous vide, comme c'est le cas des autoclaves de stérilisation, muni d'une porte destinée à obturer l'ouverture prévue dans la cuve. Selon l'invention, l'autoclave comporte un joint annulaire entourant ladite ouverture, monté coulissant dans un logement ménagé dans une bride solidaire de ladite cuve d'autoclave et débouchant dans le plan même de ladite ouverture, des moyens étant prévus pour faire communiquer le fond dudit logement, à volonté avec l'atmosphère ou avec une source de pression, éventuellement aussi avec une source de vide, et les dimensions du joint étant telles qu'il fait saillie par sa face externe, hors de son logement, même quand il est en butée par sa face interne contre le fond du logement
