Abstract
Dispositif de mesure de la hauteur des nuages, utilisant comme système émetteur un empilage de diodes LASER dont la lumière émise ne présente pas de danger pour l'oeil humain. Un certain nombre de mesures, rendent le dispositif conforme aux normes de sécurité concernant les émetteurs LASER, en diminuant l'énergie moyenne des impulsions lumineuses, et permettent de l'adapter aussi bien aux besoins de la navigation aérienne que de la météorologie. Un microprocesseur, qui modifie la hauteur du seuil de commutation en fonction du bruit de fond, permet également un traitement numérique et statistique des valeurs mesurées. Le dispositif peut être équipé avec un système de contrôle automatique, qui vérifie le bon fonctionnement de l'ensemble.
