Abstract

Un moteur selon l'invention comporte une bougie ayant un dispositif 30, 32 pour recevoir une impulsion d'allumage, une chambre 55 pour contenir du carburant envoyé sous pression par le système d'alimentation en carburant, et un élément piézo-électrique 34 entourant l'électrode centrale 32 qui comporte une tête d'obturation 45, l'élément piézo-électrique répondant uniquement à une impulsion d'allumage pour injecter du carburant de la chambre 55 dans la chambre de combustion du moteur, et cette impulsion provoquant l'allumage du carburant injecté. Un tel système d'allumage et d'injection convient en particulier pour adapter un moteur existant déjà au fonctionnement à charge stratifiée.
