Abstract

Mécanisme destiné à supporter le mât amovible d'un bateau à voile tout en permettant à ce mât érigé de tourner autour de son axe et de prendre un angle de quête variable. Le mât comporte une embase avec laquelle s'articule une ferrure destinée à s'emboîter sur un pivot solidaire du bateau et faisant fonction d'emplanture. Pendant l'érection du mât, une clavette enclenche la ferrure sur le pivot, et, une fois le mât érigé et maintenu en place par ses haubans et son étai, la clavette est retirée, ce qui permet au mât de pivoter autour de son axe et de prendre un angle de quête variable dans une certaine mesure. Application notamment aux catamarans à voile.
