Abstract

Dispositif statique de sécurité permettant à un conducteur d'un véhicule en mouvement approchant d'un obstacle fixe ou se déplaçant dans le même sens que lui, de savoir - compte tenu de sa vitesse propre - à partir de quel moment la distance séparant son véhicule de l'obstacle potentiel devient inférieure à sa distance de freinage, caractérisé par le fait qu'il se compose d'un panneau plan disposé à l'arrière d'un véhicule, perpendiculairement à l'axe longitudinal de ce dernier et comportant, sur sa face visible par les conducteurs des véhicules survenant sur son arrière, une ou plusieurs séries de signes, dont les caractéristiques (formes, dimensions et couleurs) sont telles qu'ils ne peuvent être discernés que par un oeil placé à une distance égale ou inférieure à la distance de freinage d'un véhicule moyen, conduit par un conducteur moyen et circulant sur une chaussée moyenne à une ou plusieurs vitesses données.
