Abstract

The crate is formed from wooden laths fastened together and reinforced at the corners by battens (3). Laths (4) forming outer battens are cut with inclined edges, parallel to one another at each end. The upper ends extend from the edge of a side of the crate and the lower ends terminate above the bottom of the crate. The outer battens on each side have inversely inclined ends. The bottom of an upper crate rests on top of battens (3) and its outer battens rest on top of battens (4).
