Abstract
The pole consists of two Ushaped metal sections (2a, 2b) each extending on five sides of the pole cross-section. The free lengthwise edge of one (2c) of the end sides of each section (2a, 2b) is welded to the other section at two points (3). The upright is thus reinforced along two parallel, opposite surfaces. The free inner side (2d) of each section (2a, 2b) may be bent in a V shape. Alternatively, the free inner side of each section may be bent inwards and parallel to the adjacent side (2c) of the other section and a little apart from it. Alternatively, part of the ends of each section (2a, 2b) is bent inwards, preferably at 90 deg.
