Abstract

The connector joins one or two lengthwise components and one or more inclined ones of a tubular framework together, the lengthwise ones being coupled end to end. The adjacent ends of the lengthwise components (1, 2) are flattened for a set distance and lie in a common plane forming an outer surface, to which a first cover plate (3) is fixed, extending over most of its length. The inner surface is covered by a connector piece (4) fixed to the flattened tube ends, and joined to the flattened ends (9a, 10a) of the inclined tubes (9, 10). The connector piece can have one or more flat inclined portions at an angle to the plane formed by the flattened ends of the lengthwise components, and to which the flattened end of the inclined tube is fixed.
