Abstract

An insulation insert is used in coaxial cable connectors. The insulation layer is trapped such that when a coaxial cable is terminated in the connector and insulation insert is prevented from 'pulling back' or rotating without at the same time making such terminations more difficult to fit and construct. The insert (3) is held by a thin annulus (4) having one or more inward pointing triangular protrusions at the front end of the connector. The rear end (1c) of the connector shell (1) has a shoulder against which the insert bears.
