Abstract

The motor rotor is formed of two discs (27) perpendicular to the shaft and connected by axial rollers (15). A flexible membrane (27) is stretched over the rollers. It forms a polygon with alternate long (29) and short (28) sides at an obtuse angle to each other and has flexible radial projections (27) between the sides. The stator has radial guides formed by rollers (26) between which the projections of the rotor slide. Compressed air is introduced through an opening (31) at a point in the stator casing and exerts a torque on the rotor which produces rotation.
