Abstract

It is intended that the folding table on passenger seats, in particular in railway carriages, be designed in a simple manner in terms of production to be advantageous in use such that the action of putting it into use and taking it out of use is facilitated and simplified. This is achieved in that at least one partial length (x) of the armrest (4) is divided into a lower part (7) and into an upper part (8) which can be folded thereto, with the simultaneous formation of a horizontal gap (6), the bottom surface (9) of the upper part (8) forming the folding section and the exposed surface of the lower part forming the fixed section of the table board.
