Abstract

The controls inside a vehicle enable a control cable for rear view mirror to be rotated and also moved forwards and backwards thus controlling mirror position. A control cable (1) for a rear view mirror outside the vehicle is housed in a sheath (2). A helicoidal pinion (8) is attached to the cable end which is housed in a drawer (7) mounted onto bodywork panels (5, 4) by a collar (6a) and spacer (3). The pinion is driven by a second pinion (11) on a shaft which is rotated by a knob (13). A second knob (16) drives a rack and pinion to move the cable backwards or forwards.
