Abstract

L'invention a pour objets un dispositif et un procédé de confinement d'un jet de fluide sous pression. Le jet, émanant d'une canalisation 3, passe à travers une ouverture 14 dans le fond d'une cuve il surplombant la canalisation 3, écarte les segments d'une soupape multi-segments 15, et vient s'écraser contre une plaque 32 fixée au sommet d'un élément tubulaire 20, chassant celui-ci hors de la cuve. En ce faisant, de l'eau 12 que contient la cuve remplit l'espace vide laissé par l'élément 20, étouffant ainsi le jet, l'énergie de celui-ci étant absorbée par l'entraînement du liquide dans la cuve. Des chicanes 23 et 30, présentant des trous 24 et 25 respectivement, favorisent l'absorption de cette énergie. Application aux installations de forage et de production de pétrole brut, notamment en cas de jaillissement accidentel, par exemple lors d'une rupture de conduite.
