Abstract

The mechanism distributes dough lumps from a flat band conveyor, e.g. into proving carrier pockets in which the dough lumps are fermented. The conveyor is hinged along one side edge to a fixed support. The other side edge of the conveyor can be lowered and raised between a conveyor horizontal position and a downward tilting position which discharged dough lumps by gravity. The outer, side edge of the conveyor is linked by a connecting rod to a powder-actuated eccentric. Automatic, electric actuation is initiated each time the full length of the conveyor is full of dough lumps, e.g. by a timer synchronised with the conveyor drive.
