Abstract

Wire frame, for use as an underside support for a textile band, conforms to a gutter-shaped trough against the frame, several of these frames being assembled in a chassis to provide a series in parallel, gutter-shaped troughs. Each wire frame comprises a number of parallel longitudinal wires with spaced cross-braces. Frames are pref. of welded construction comprising metal wires of circular cross-section. The textile band troughs are intended to support bakers' dough pieces during the proving period, esp. dough pieces for making long loaves, stick loaves etc., without allowing them to distort during proving. The frame offers max. support combined with max. free space for good aeration of the dough. The wire construction is light-weight, strong and easily mass-produced on an economical basis. The longitudinal wires provide a low-friction sliding surface for a moving band.
