Abstract

The monobloc valve has a spherical seat in a housing fitted with sealed joints to isolate the fluid from the outside. The valve is fitted with secondary seals in case of failure of the main seals. The main joint is heat sealed without the risk of forming air pockets within the valve. The sphere is fitted in between cylinders in the valve body which line the bore of the body. The cylinder butts against a compression ring in the bore. The operating spindle is held between sleeves housed in the valve casing. The sleeves are fitted with 'O' rings to form the seals.
