Abstract

La présente invention concerne le domaine des carbones et des graphites industriels. Elle concerne un carbone ou un graphite artificiel à double porosité constitué d'un assemblage macroporeux de grains fins microporeux caractérisé en ce que la macroporosité est ouverte, que les rayons d'ouverture des macropores est comprise entre environ 10 et environ 350 mu m et ceux des micropores entre environ 0,2 et environ 1 mu m et une méthode de fabrication d'un tel carbone ou graphite. Applications : supports de catalyse, matériau de remplissage pour appareils dans lesquels se font des réactions physico-chimiques ou électrochimiques, matériau d'électrode pour l'électrochimie
