Abstract

Upright, cylindrical objects are printed or marked using cylindrical or flat plates. The objects are held in fixed holders (16) arranged in a circle. A radially rotating carrier arm (26) or carrier plate supports the printing plate (25) which is spring-loaded against the objects. The number of fixed holders (16) for the objects corresponds to the number of rotations of the plate during a full rotation of the carrier arm or the plate. Several rotating ink rollers are associated with the rotating plate and are powered by gear wheel pinions.
