Abstract

The liquid for the windscreen washer of a vehicle is heated to improve its cleaning properties. It is passed through a heat exchanger plate in contact with the engine radiator cooling system, but forming a separate circuit. The heat exchanger plate (10) has a tubular coil (11) on one side, the other being fixed (17) to a bracket (16). This is U-shaped and has an adjusting screw (19, 20, 21) in the side (18) opposite the plate. The bracket rests on the top header (13) of the radiator and the plate is tightened against it by means of the screw. Heat is transferred by contact between the two.
