Abstract

Dans cette installation de réaction pour le traitement d'un matériau finement divisé, un matériau ou pâte acide ayant une teneur en matières solides d'environ 35 à 50 % est envoyé vers un réacteur d'ozonisation pour pâte à forte teneur en solides combiné à un réacteur de maturation, sous forme d'une colonne de pâte pratiquement verticale étanche au gaz. Dans la zone de transition entre le réacteur d'ozonisation et le réacteur de maturation, la pâte finement divisée et ozonisée, qui présente un pH très acide, est mélangée à des substances chimiques qui l'amènent à un pH d'environ 8 à 11 et à une teneur en matières solides d'environ 15 à 20 %; on soumet alors la pâte alcaline, sous la forme d'une colonne en mouvement continu, à un traitement de maturation qui se termine lorsque la pH de la pâte est de 6 à 7. Application à la fabrication de pâtes à papier.
