Abstract

L'invention vise un procédé de fabrication de pièces moulées portant un revêtement, à partir d'un mélange dépourvu de plasticité. Le procédé consiste à préparer par compression à froid des pièces préformées, de transporter ces ébauches conjointement avec les couches de décoration et de couverture dans une presse à chaud, où le mélange formant la pièce préformée, durcit pendant la compression, tout en étant revetu de la couche décorative. Avant le pressage à chaud il est intercalé entre l'ébauche et la couche de couverture une couche intermédiaire présentant une résistance à la déchirure supérieure à celle de la couche de couverture et qui est imprégnée d'une résine se ramollissant plus lentement sous l'effet de la chaleur que la résine imprégnant la couche de couverture. Ce procédé permet l'étalement lisse de la couche de couverture sur la pièce et sa liaison solide avec toute la surface du coeur de la pièce agglomérée, même aux chants de celle-ci.
