Abstract

Frein automatique pour machine tournante entrant en action dès que la vitesse de la machine tombe au-dessous d'une valeur prédéterminée. Ce frein comporte une surface de friction fixe 13, deux masselottes 12 portées par deux bras articulés 11 mobiles en rotation par rapport à la surface de friction, et une came 2a. Lorsque l'alimentation de la machine est coupée, la force centrifuge s'exerçant sur les masselottes 12 diminue progressivement et devient inférieure à la force de rappel exercée sur les bras 11 par des ressorts de traction 16. Sous l'effet de cette force de rappel les masselottes 12 sont appliquées contre la surface de friction 13 et s'immobilisent. La came 2a exerce, au démarrage, une poussée destinée à vaincre la friction entre les masselottes 12 et la surface de friction 13. Application au freinage des machines motorisées, notamment aux machines à usage domestique.
