Un moteur synchrone à aimant permanent comporte deux jeux de pôles de rotor entrelacés 28' et 28", qui ont des longueurs différentes. Un anneau 64 est emmanché sur le moyeu du rotor de façon à solliciter magnétiquement ce dernier dans une direction donnée, pour l'empêcher de cogner contre le boîtier 12.
