Abstract

The roaster is fitted with a number of vertical spits (3) mounted on frames and rotating about vertical axes, in bearings (23). The spits are arranged in pairs around a central fire (11) arranged over a central cone and kept in position by a circular grill (10), to form a hearth. The hearth is mounted on a vertical support and allowed to rotate by the power of a vertical motor (14). The roaster is located under a chimney (9) which carries the flue gases away. The hood (8) allows induced air (37) under it. The spit is enclosed in vertical glass panels (1) which form an octagon around the fire.
