Abstract

A barbecue with multiple spits rotating about a central hearth. The whole assembly fits inside an enclosure. A circular open space contains the fuel in a hearth formed of upright bars (2). Cinders fall through onto a plate (5). An outer ring (4) carries several holders (11, 12) for each spit (B), locked by a screw and nut. Spits are inclined inwards for roasting and driven individually by motors at their lower ends and the complete assembly can be rotated by hand around a central pivot. The enclosure has a chimney (26) and transparent viewing panels (24) in the upper part. Air inlets are in the lower part of the enclosure.
