Abstract

Microfilm copier comprises a microfiche support (50) which is capable of moving in X and Y directions relative to a camera lens (52), and a microfilm support which is capable of moving in the X and Y directions relative to the camera lens and which can support several rolls of microfilm (3). Exposure is provided for transferring images from the microfilm to a microfiche (51) on the microfiche support. Each microfilm roll may be mounted removably on a drive device which can rotate the roll forwards or backwards via a constantly running drive mechanism. Each roll may be guided through apertures adjacent to which is a device for detecting the position of individual frames on the microfilm, pref. a magnetic or optical detector which reads a magnetic or optical code mark on the microfilm on or beside each individual frame.
