Abstract
A solar heating unit incorporates a powerful magnifying glass which concentrates solar radiation on to the end of an optical fibre. The optical fibre is bent and rotates at a high speed, so that the radiation emitted at the other covers a wide area of a vessel contg. a heat transfer fluid. The invention improves the solar heater described in Parent Patent, in which the transmission of heat by contact with the circulating fluid does not allow a high enough rate for some applications and which needs a metallic accumulator. The present invention avoids the inconveniences. Radiation losses are avoided and heat exchange surface is increased.
