Abstract
Procédé de transformation éventuellement différé d'énergie lumineuse en énergie thermique, dans lequel on soumet à une radiation lumineuse convenable une solution, dans un solvant non polaire, d'un produit chimique choisi parmi les molécules comportant au moins un cycle tendu pour faire passer ledit produit de son état énergétique électronique fondamental, à l'état singulet excité le plus bas. On réalise le transfert par solvatation de la molécule excitée du solvant non polaire dans un solvant polaire, ce dernier provoquant une desexcitation dudit produit chimique, fait passer celui-ci à l'état énergétique électronique fondamental tout en conservant la forme stable dudit état excité énergétique. Puis on traite le solvant polaire de façon que les molécules dudit produit chimique franchissant la barrière de potentiel leur permettant de revenir à leur forme fondamentale et énergétique ordinaire, en se dissolvant dans un solvant non polaire et en libérant de l'énergie que l'on récupérera.
