Abstract
The motor has a multipole rotor and a stator consisting of two parts joined by a bridging element carrying the excitation winding. Each part changes at its free end into a number of poles equal to or smaller than that of rotor poles, pointing towards rotor periphery. The rotor (1) is made of magnetically soft material with high coercive force, and each rotor pole is tooth shaped, with a main pole (11) and a formed on it auxiliary pole (12), facing the direction of rotation. A permanent magnet circuit (8) defines the rotor (1) rest position when the stator (2) is not energised.
