Abstract

Procédé de fabrication de clinker pauvre en composés alcalins à partir d'une matière première renfermant des composés alcalins, par un traitement thermique étagé de celle-ci dans un étage de préchauffage, un étage de calcination, un étage de frittage et un étage de refroidissement, avec apport de chaleur par un combustible de nature quelconque dans l'étage de calcination ainsi que dans l'étage de frittage. Installation pour la mise en oeuvre de ce procédé. Les gaz s'échappant de l'étage de frittage sont refroidis par mélange avec un fluide gazeux plus froid et le gaz mixte ainsi formé est utilisé ensuite dans l'étage de préchauffage comme fluide cédant de la chaleur en contact direct à la matière première.
