Abstract

Multicoloured candle is made in a mould by first inserting a fairly large plug in the mould and casting a first colour was in the space surrounding this plug, then removing this plug and replacing it with a smaller plug and then casting the space outside this plug with a further wax of a different colour etc. Opt. wick(s) may be inserted at the boundary of each colour, after the plug is removed and while the tax is still fairly soft, before the next colour is cast. The method is extremely simple and time-saving, since the entire casing operation is carried out in one mould and only the plugs or inner moulds need to be changed.
