Abstract

L'invention concerne une installation à fours multiples pour le réchauffage des brames. Cette installation, du type comprenant deux fours, comprend, en aval, un four poussant et, en amont, un four préliminaire dont l'axe de passage des produits est décalé par rapport à celui de l'axe du four. Les fours sont reliés par un dispositif de transfert des brames et les gaz d'échappement circulent du four poussant au four préliminaire à contre-courant par rapport à la circulation des brames. Le four préliminaire peut avantageusement être un four poussant identique au four. L'invention s'applique notamment au réchauffage des brames avant laminage.
