Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé d'étirage longitudinal d'une feuille tubulaire de matière polymère orientable. Selon ce procédé en thermosoude la feuille à des intervalles choisis à l'avance, perpendiculairement à son mouvement, on introduit la feuille des rouleaux engrenant entre eux, munis de gorges parallèles à leur axe, on règle la vitesse d'introduction de la feuille entre les rouleaux pratiquement à la vitesse de rotation des rouleaux, on retire la feuille des rouleaux à une vitesse supérieure à leur vitesse de rotation et on recueille la feuille ainsi étirée. L'invention s'applique notamment à la fabrication de sacs en matière thermoplastique.
