Abstract

The agricultural mowing machine and swathe former is drawn behind a tractor by the drawbar (2). It has lateraly spaced cutting mechanisms (3) and a tool (4) rotating about a horizontal axis, which taxes up and passes the cut crop rearwardly. Each mechanism (3) has an arm (5) carrying a rotary cutting head (6) which has a rotating disc (7) and a cutting blade (8) above the arm. At one side of the machine a rotary cutting element (13) has pivotal flail blades (9) and is driven by a shaft (15) to separate the standing crop from the mown crop. All these mechanisms are driven from the tractor power take off. Pivotal deflectors (12) form a wide swath.
