Abstract

The adjuster for an externally fitted rear mirror on a car, is mounted in a front door gusset (1) in front of the window. It has a control knob (3) inside the door and an arm (4) projecting outside, supporting the mirror (5) by a fixing (6). The knob has a ball (7) in a housing (8) with an opening (8a). The arm (4) has a ball (9) in another housing (10) with an opening (10a). A finger (11) solid with the first ball (7), enters a recess (12) in the second ball (9). A spring (13) is fitted between the second housing (10) and a base part (14) carrying the two ball housings. The ball keeps the recess pressing against the finger.
